About Me

Jamie Brown BSc, NTP

  • I am a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner from the Nutritional Therapy Association, which is based on the work of Dr. Weston A. Price. I also hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from University College London. Additionally, I have completed courses on Nutrition Science from Stanford University and the Nutrigenetic Research Institute.


  • I specialise in Histamine Intolerance and Mast Cell Activation. I offer a bio-individual approach focusing on each person’s unique nutritional needs and deficiencies. 


  • I recommend the use of a pro-metabolic framework of Nutrition as the best and most effective healing tool for Histamine Intolerance and Mast cell activation.

My Journey

I was always an incredibly active and happy child who loved nature and sport and had no health problems until the age of 18, although I followed a diet recommended at the time, it started to become increasingly clear that I was developing some seriously debilitating health issues, which then impacted on my mental health. I went to the doctors initially for heartburn and acid reflux, who promptly put me on omeprazole (PPI), which would be the beginning of a long journey of constant antibiotic courses and increasing illness that would last the next seven years. I had a range of symptoms over the coming years and tried a variety of dietary approaches, supplements and medications; with a significant negative impact on my life, my body became increasingly reactive to foods and supplements. As is often the way with modern medicine with a one-size-fits-all approach and treatment, which hides symptoms rather than addresses root causes. This culminated in me finally uncovering that I had Mast Cell activation and Histamine intolerance and in me being able to tolerate only a handful of foods.

Life in the 'flight or fight' wilderness

Throughout this period of turmoil, I experimented with a wide range of treatments. I would often experience brief improvements followed by relapses, prompting me to pursue new ideas. I tried things such as Superfoods like spinach, raw vegetables, celery juices and ginger shots (later discovering them to be super high in oxalate),  Gut, parasite and lyme disease cleanses with everything from wormwood to oil of oregano (this considerably affected my gut and digestion with unforeseen impacts on my gut microbiome). Restrictive eating and low-carb diets like keto and carnivore (further serving to lower metabolism and thyroid function). Supplements like synthetic vitamin C, vitamin D, probiotics, magnesium, B vitamins... the list goes on, everything you could think of I tried. Every week, I would research and buy the next supplement or plan to heal me and what I thought would be a miracle cure for my ailments.

My Wake-Up Call

I went to see some of the best experts in the field, from doctors to Nutritionists and got diagnosed with everything from Lyme disease to Graves disease; everyone gave me the next pill or supplement, which they thought was going to help me. 'We need to kill off this bacteria, that bacteria' 'We need to build up your microbiome'' we need to destroy the spike protein' 'we need to bust the biofilm' The list was never-ending. This made for an incredibly stressful period in my life, and my body was screaming for calm. 


  • This led to my wake-up call: there is no quick fix to these conditions.  There is no miracle cure


  • If it were quick if it were easy, you would have already done it


  • How did I solve my issues? I ditched the supplements, I began to implement a pro-metabolic way of eating inspired by Dr Raymond Peat within the framework of a low histamine diet, which allowed me to listen to my body and my cravings. I focused on improving my thyroid function and metabolism, which began to pull my body out of the constant stress response it had remained in for years. I started to identify the root causes of my issues, such as oxalate toxicity, hormonal imbalance, iron overload and low stomach acid. This is where I realised I wanted to help people avoid my mistakes, and I see many making them today.


  • I began to understand how to fuel my body to live a vibrant life, reconnecting with nature.


  • This could be your 'eureka' moment, but you must commit to the process once you understand that these are incredibly complex conditions; there will be ups and downs on the journey.


  • Most people think there might be an easy way to heal: taking a few supplements but not always getting morning sunlight or eating appropriately, for example.  It's simply not the case, you have to create a routine that supports your body and be consistent, building your future health on strong foundations.


  • Remember, these conditions affect not only the body but also the mind. I noticed that my health improved the most when I spent time in nature and away from stress. 


  • Implementing a pro-metabolic way of eating, ditching expensive supplements and having faith in my body to make order from the madness has been the best thing I have ever done. I have made constant strides to remission, and I am here to help you do the same
